Canyon Ridge® Modern uses four layers with faux-wood cladding and chamfered horizontal edges. Eight designs: 3" or 6" planks, windows, Full-View, black laminated glass inlay, and brushed-silver aluminum inlay.

Engineered Strength
Every Canyon Ridge® Modern garage door has four layers — steel, insulation, more steel, and a tough faux-wood cladding with fiberglass-filled boards — all working together to deliver increased durability and security. Aesthetically, the doors have been updated with chamfered horizontal edges to create a refreshed, modern look.
Faux Wood, Real Texture
The composite cladding and overlays are molded from genuine wood pieces, so you get the rich texture and natural grain of Clear Cypress or Mahogany, without the maintenance headaches real wood brings. Choose from a range of paint and stain options to suit your home’s style.
Design Your Door
With eight distinct door designs, optional slim windows or metal accents, and a palette of eight standard finishes (plus more than 1,500 Color Blast® custom colors ), it’s easy to create a look that’s truly yours.
Superior Insulation
Each door is packed with 2" Intellicore® polyurethane insulation , keeping your garage comfortable and energy efficient. R-values range from 6.3 to 20.4, depending on your chosen design.

For homes in high-wind regions, WindCode® reinforcement is available for added peace of mind.
Environmental Assurance
Clopay doors are compliant with environmental laws and regulations. Clopay doors do not contain HFCs. All Clopay doors are compliant with:

How It’s Made: Canyon Ridge® Modern Construction
The Canyon Ridge® Modern garage door is engineered for lasting performance, comfort, and peace of mind. At its core is a tough steel base, built to withstand daily use and provide a solid foundation for your door. On top of this, you’ll find low-maintenance, moisture-resistant composite overlays that capture the warmth and look of real wood, but won’t rot, warp, or crack — even with heavy exposure to the elements.

Inside, each door is filled with 2" of Clopay’s proprietary Intellicore® polyurethane insulation . This advanced foam technology fills every inch of the door, making it warmer, quieter, and stronger than standard doors. You’ll notice the difference in your garage’s comfort, energy efficiency, and noise reduction.
The steel panels are treated with a multi-layer rust-prevention system, including galvanizing, a protective metal oxide layer, and a durable baked-on finish. The bottom of the door features a replaceable vinyl weather seal set in a rust-resistant aluminum retainer to keep out drafts, rain, and debris. Safety is built in, too, with a patented Safe-T-Bracket® that helps prevent injuries during maintenance.
All Intellicore® insulated doors come with smooth-gliding, 10-ball nylon rollers and extra-strong 14-gauge steel hinges for reliable, quiet operation. Removable window grilles make cleaning easy. Plus, every door complies with 2015 IECC air infiltration requirement of 0.40 cfm/ft2 or less (IECC, Section C402.5.2) to help keep your home more comfortable year-round.
Design Options
Personalize your Canyon Ridge® Modern garage door with a selection of specialty glass options designed to fit your privacy and style needs. Choose Clear glass for a crisp, open look that lets in plenty of natural light and keeps your garage feeling bright. If you prefer a bit more privacy, opt for Rain or Frosted glass, both of which create a unique visual effect while diffusing light and obscuring the view inside. Obscure glass is another great option, offering a textured finish that balances light and privacy.
Rain, Frosted, and Obscure glass are available on both Plank and Full-View designs, so you can customize your door’s appearance to match your home. For extra protection, impact-rated windows are also offered, but only in Clear glass, ensuring safety without sacrificing style.

Canyon Ridge® Modern garage doors let you tailor the look and feel of your home with a variety of premium material options. Choose Plank Cladding for a clean, horizontal look, available in both Clear Cypress and Mahogany finishes to capture the warmth and detail of natural wood. If you want a more contemporary edge, opt for Metal (Aluminum) Inlay Cladding, which pairs sleek metal lines with your choice of Clear Cypress or Mahogany for a striking, modern effect. For homeowners who love light and openness, the Full-View Overlay option combines generous windows with wood-look framing, again available in both Clear Cypress and Mahogany.

Spade Step Plate
Every Canyon Ridge® Modern garage door comes standard with sleek Spade Lift Handles, designed for a clean look and easy operation. If you want to take your door’s style a step further, you can upgrade to our optional Aluminum Grip Handle in various color options, which offers a more modern, streamlined feel and is available in a variety of finishes to match your home’s aesthetic.

Detailed instructions for assembly of this handle on the Modern Series doors is covered with these instructions. The instruction manual that comes with your door shows the correct sections and height above the floor for mounting the two lift handles.

Can Overhead Door of America install a Canyon Ridge Modern on my home?
Yes. We are an official Clopay dealer. We measure the opening, confirm wind-load needs, help you choose color and windows, and install the door with a matching LiftMaster opener when you want one.
Do these doors work in Florida heat, humidity, and storms?
Yes. We specify rust-resistant hardware, proper weather seals, and WindCode® reinforcement where required. Insulated models also help keep an attached garage more comfortable in summer.
Can I get custom size windows on the Canyon Ridge Modern door?
The windows come in two standard sizes: 14” x 6” or 35” x 6”.
Can I get the metal inlays on a Canyon Ridge Modern door in another color besides silver?
The metal inlays are only available in brushed silver aluminum.
