Every Modern Steel™ garage door is engineered to deliver years of performance with minimal maintenance. Durability is built right in. The steel panels are protected by a multi-layer rust-prevention system: hot-dipped galvanizing, metal oxide pretreatment, and a baked-on primer and topcoat all work together to keep the door looking great, year after year. A replaceable vinyl bottom seal in a rust-resistant aluminum retainer blocks out drafts and water, while Clopay’s patented Safe-T-Bracket® adds peace of mind with a unique safety design.
Standard features like heavy-duty 14-gauge steel hinges, smooth 10-ball nylon rollers, and removable window grilles make maintenance easy and performance reliable. Modern Steel™ doors also meet strict air infiltration standards, so you get comfort and efficiency without compromise.

The Architectural Series offers windows with long or short squares or rectangles, with or without grilles, along with various arches and even wrought iron-inspired details. You can choose a window shape, size, and pattern to make the door exactly what you want. No matter your preference, there’s a window style here to make your garage door stand out.

Personalize your Modern Steel™ garage door with a variety of specialty glass choices, each designed to balance light and privacy. Choose clear glass for an open feel that lets in plenty of sunlight. For more privacy, frosted and obscure glass both blur the view into your garage while still allowing light to filter through.
If you want something extra unique, consider rain and narrow reed glass. Each adds subtle texture and visual interest. Or really give it some drama with Midnight Gray glass which gives a cool-yet-mysterious look with added privacy.
Just remember, not every glass option is available on every model, so be sure to check with your Clopay dealer about which styles fit your chosen design.

Ultra-Grain Plank Cedar*
Modern Steel™ garage doors come in a wide palette of colors and finishes. Classic choices like Standard White, Almond, Sandtone, Chocolate, and Desert Tan work beautifully with almost any exterior. For a more distinctive look, try deeper hues like Bronze, Mocha Brown, Hunter Green, or Charcoal.
There are also premium finishes like Black and Iron Ore that can bring a vivid contrast to any exterior. For something really different, try one of the Lustra™ matte options (Black, Charcoal, Silver) for an unexpected, textured look. If you love the warmth of wood but want easy maintenance, Ultra-Grain® and Ultra-Grain Plank finishes offer the authentic look of cypress, walnut, cherry, barnwood, cedar, and more, each with realistic grain detail.
With so many standard and premium options—including custom Color Blast® shades by request—you won’t have any trouble finding the right color for your Modern Steel™ garage door.

All of our Elite, Authorized, Master Authorized and Advanced Authorized Dealers offer a minimum 1 Year installation warranty on Clopay replacement doors.
Yes. We are an official Clopay dealer. We measure the opening, confirm wind-load needs, help you choose color and windows, and install the door with a matching LiftMaster opener when you want one.
Yes. We specify rust-resistant hardware, proper weather seals, and WindCode® reinforcement where required. Insulated models also help keep an attached garage more comfortable in summer.
Spray surface thoroughly with an ammonium chloride household cleaner (such as Lysol®), scrub using a soft bristle brush and rinse with clean water. DO NOT use paper towel or microfiber cloth, as residue may be left behind after cleaning. Care and Maintenance
No. Due to the subtle surface texture, we do not recommend painting a Lustra door to preserve the finish.
A flush panel door has no embossed panel sections. The door surface is flat.
Lustra is a matte finish is available in black, charcoal, and silver.
