Overview

Clopay Avante® is the modern aluminum-and-glass door. The frame is 2-1/8" commercial-grade aluminum. Model AXU adds Intellicore®-insulated rails and stiles with an official R-value of 3.8 when paired with insulated glass. Panels can be tempered glass, acrylic, Polygal, or solid aluminum. New C-Power™ Click-to-Conceal™ panels switch from clear to opaque with a remote. Impact-rated glass is available for coastal Florida. Avante also works as a patio, pool-house, or loft partition — not only a garage door.

If the house is contemporary, mid-century, or mixed materials (stone, stucco, metal), Avante is the door that looks like architecture instead of a blank wall. Aluminum will not rust, which matters on the Space Coast and barrier-island jobs.

Questions we hear

I live on the coast. Can I get impact glass?

Yes. Avante is available with impact-rated glass. We will confirm the right glazing and WindCode® package for your city and insurance.

I do not want people seeing into the garage. What glass should I use?

Frosted, mirrored, opaque/laminate, tinted, or C-Power™ Click-to-Conceal™. You still get daylight without a clear view in.

What is the difference between Avante, Avante Sleek, and VertiStack?

Standard Avante has a grid of rectangular lites. Avante Sleek uses slim horizontal glass and fewer vertical stiles for a panoramic look. VertiStack Avante stacks the sections on the wall above the opening — no overhead tracks. We sell and install all three.

Can Overhead Door of America install a Avante on my home?

Yes. We are an official Clopay dealer. We measure the opening, confirm wind-load needs, help you choose color and windows, and install the door with a matching LiftMaster opener when you want one.

Do these doors work in Florida heat, humidity, and storms?

Yes. We specify rust-resistant hardware, proper weather seals, and WindCode® reinforcement where required. Insulated models also help keep an attached garage more comfortable in summer.
