Overview
Clopay no longer uses the old “Value Plus” catalog name. The current equivalent is Classic™ Steel in 2- or 3-layer insulated construction — raised short or long panels, optional windows, and insulation choices from vinyl-backed polystyrene up through 1-3/8" Intellicore® (about R-12.9). This is the workhorse insulated door we install on most Central Florida replacements when the homeowner wants comfort and a traditional look without carriage overlays.
If the existing door is a thin uninsulated steel slab, Value Plus / Classic Steel is the upgrade that changes daily comfort — cooler garage in summer, quieter operation — without jumping to Canyon Ridge pricing.

Questions we hear
Is this still called Value Plus at the factory?
Clopay’s current name is Classic™ Steel. We kept Value Plus on this page because many of our customers still shop that name. The door we order is the insulated Classic Steel model that fits your opening and budget.
Can Overhead Door of America install a Classic Steel insulated on my home?
Yes. We are an official Clopay dealer. We measure the opening, confirm wind-load needs, help you choose color and windows, and install the door with a matching LiftMaster opener when you want one.
Do these doors work in Florida heat, humidity, and storms?
Yes. We specify rust-resistant hardware, proper weather seals, and WindCode® reinforcement where required. Insulated models also help keep an attached garage more comfortable in summer.
