Wood carriage-style doors from Clopay’s Reserve family give you historic swing-out character with modern overhead operation (swing-out is still available on Custom). Mix-and-match top sections, true divided lites, and species such as Meranti, Redwood, Cedar, Fir, MDO, and Luan. Polystyrene-insulated wood builds are published around R-5.9. Decorative wrought-iron hardware completes the carriage look. We treat this as the wood counterpart to Coachman / Canyon Ridge when the homeowner insists on real timber.
If the house is a true carriage-house or historic revival, steel overlays can look close — wood still looks closer. We quote maintenance honestly and offer Canyon Ridge as the low-upkeep alternative in the same meeting.

Should I get real wood or Canyon Ridge?
Wood is the authentic material and needs finish care in Florida. Canyon Ridge 4- or 5-Layer looks like wood, insulates better (R-18.4–20.4), and skips the stain schedule. We will price both.
Can Overhead Door of America install a wood carriage house on my home?

Do these doors work in Florida heat, humidity, and storms?
