Overview
Clopay Reserve® Wood Semi-Custom is real wood with a shorter path than full Custom. You pick one of six classic designs and Cedar, Redwood, or Hemlock. Construction is two layers of wood on a sturdy Hemlock frame with a Luan backer. This model is non-insulated; the solid wood still buffers sound and temperature. Windows on Reserve wood tops are typically larger than steel-door windows (about 28" wide sections). We sell this when the homeowner wants authentic wood and a defined menu — not a blank-sheet custom build.
Semi-Custom is the Reserve door we can specify quickly: six proven layouts, three woods, decorative hardware, and larger glass than a typical steel door. Ideal for Colonial, Craftsman, farmhouse, and carriage-house architecture.

Questions we hear
Are the windows larger than on a steel door?
Yes. Reserve Wood top sections are usually about 28" wide, so the glass is larger than typical steel lites.
Can Overhead Door of America install a Reserve Semi-Custom on my home?
Yes. We are an official Clopay dealer. We measure the opening, confirm wind-load needs, help you choose color and windows, and install the door with a matching LiftMaster opener when you want one.
Do these doors work in Florida heat, humidity, and storms?
Yes. We specify rust-resistant hardware, proper weather seals, and WindCode® reinforcement where required. Insulated models also help keep an attached garage more comfortable in summer.
